David O’Keefe BA (Hons)

David has 15 years experience in the publishing industry and heads up our sales department. David spent his post-university years running his own estate agency and then went on to spend a further twenty-eight years as a financial advisor/business consultant, taking in stints at the Ecclesiastical and Equitable Life, before establishing his own practice. David is passionate about his real ale and can be found regularly at some of the finest Camra-approved hostelries in the North of England.

Thomas O’Keefe BA (Hons)

Tom has been involved in the publishing industry since completing his English degree in 2003 and worked for eight years as a freelance sales rep. for a national publishing company. Tom also enjoyed a two-year stint working as a features editor for a national motorcycle magazine, where he was responsible for reviews, interviews and proof-reading. This experience stood him in good stead when Communitas Publishing launched in late 2011. Tom’s skills-base is wide-ranging and he specialises in new business, handles proof-reading duties and manages all our publications to print.


Luke Crawford BSc. (Hons)

Luke is an experienced freelance graphic designer and web developer and his team handle the vast majority of our design work. After successfully completing a B.Sc. Honours Degree in Creative Multimedia Computing in 2001, Luke spent 8 years working for Johnston Press Plc on a varied range of projects and gained a wealth of experience in the process. Since then Luke has worked as a Senior Designer with a Halifax based Advertising Agency before forming his own company in late 2008. Please see Luke’s website for further info.
